The entire India is looking forward for the JioPhone, the smartest feature phone ever. And we’re pretty much close to the promised release date. Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Jio Infocomm’s Chairman, at the company’s Annual General Meeting announced that the JioPhone would be available for pre-order or pre-booking from August 24 in both online and offline ways.

The phone will be available for best testing starting tomorrow. However, a new report from Gadgets360 says that some offline retailers have already started taking the pre-orders for the JioPhone, which were supposed to begin from August 24. Folks at Gadgets360 also spoke with a retailer and got to know the required documents to pre-book a JioPhone.
Here are three things which you need to know before pre-booking a phone.
Pre-Booking a JioPhone Requires Aadhaar Card
eKYC activation is something Jio introduced to the Indian market, with which the SIM card gets activated in 15 minutes. And to book the JioPhone, you need to submit your Aadhaar as a proof of the document. It is also said that a person can get only one JioPhone with every single Aadhar card, unlike the Jio 4G SIM card, where you can get 50 SIM cards.
Each customer will get a token number, which they need to show while picking the device.
First Come First Serve
Another thing which you need to notice is that the JioPhone would be delivered to the customers on a first come first serve basis, meaning you’ve to pre-book faster than others. If you’re based out of Delhi NCR region, head over to the mobile stores in the city, and pre book a jio phone now.
Furthermore, users who’re looking to purchase the JioPhone with their Aadhaar card are not supposed to pay the Rs. 1,500 security deposit while booking. Instead, they have to pay the amount while receiving the device.
What is the Delivery Date?
The report also says that the device will be available between September 1 and September 4, for those pre-book the JioPhone as early as possible. Furthermore, Jio is looking to sell five million JioPhones every week.
